“Britney Spears is reportedly set to thrill fans with a surprise set at the American Music Awards on Sunday.

The Toxic hitmaker is rumoured to be taking to the stage at the event at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre to mark her comeback to the music scene with forthcoming album Circus.

And host Jimmy Kimmel is adamant the event’s organisers are planning a spectacular secret performance, but that they won’t tell him what it is.

The funnyman tells E! Online, “They have these surprises that 75 people on the crew know about, but they won’t tell the host.

“Apparently, there is some big surprise. I sent… the producer an email yesterday and he was like, I can’t tell you.”

If Spears did play a set at the ceremony, she’s be in good company - childhood rival Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis,Taylor Swift and Kanye West are all slated to perform.

But Kimmel is hoping Spears won’t make a surprise appearance at the show - because he once upset the singer by locking a Kevin Federline impersonator in a box and dumping him in the sea for a skit at the 2006 American Music Awards - just weeks after the former couple’s divorce plans were announced.

The ceremony will be broadcast live by ABC on Sunday. “

Another Britney News Rumor Mill update…weeeeeee

I have no idea who Robin Leech is, but apparently he knows Larry and Larry keeps bragging about “the biggest and best comeback in showbiz history” aka Britney Spears “Circus”. All these performance talks are getting me crazy excited. Can’t wait to see what Brit Brit has in store for all of us!!!

* Mastermind manager Larry Rudolph always told me that the royal return he was engineering for pop superstar Britney Spears would be “the biggest and best comeback in showbiz history.” He’s within 30 days of seeing that promise come true: He is in the midst of carefully executing his top secret plan, and Vegas has a mighty lot to do with it!

Here’s what I’ve learned so far since the rumor mill went into heavy overdrive:

- Negotiations are going down to the wire for Britney to appear on the Strip on New Year’s Eve with a special two-song performance on network television — and she’ll co-host part of the year’s retrospective in music segment.

- Her new album, “Circus,” will be released on her birthday, Dec. 2.

- Britney herself will soon announce a new world Circus tour, with tickets going on sale in early December.

- The pop princess has confided that she’s hiring three new male backup dancers to add to her current crew specifically for the tour.

Wednesday morning, Britney herself posted photos and details of the upcoming projects on her Web site, britneyspears.com. She even says the talent she found among the 70 dancers trying out for her and manager Larry Rudolph was “amazing.”

Britney Spears will be celebrating Turkey Day overseas. The singer — who returned home to Kentwood, Louisiana, on Friday with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James — will perform on the French show Star Academy on Nov. 28. “Looks like Britney will be spending her Thanksgiving holiday in Europe!” reads the announcement on BritneySpears.com.

I cant seem to find the post on BritneySpears.com that says anything about her being overseas for Thanksgiving, but it does make sense considering her Star Academy performance is the 28th of November. I guess we will find out soon.

Lets just keep bringing up Britney Rumors that should be done and over with, seriously this is ridiculous. Was it ever really a feud? Just because they were two female pop artists that means they hate each other? Kind of ridiculous if you ask me. From the article I would say Christina has no hatred for Britney and does mean well. Everyone wants to see Britney bounce back. Lets keep the “Circus” train going, full speed ahead!!!
